General care after microfacial surgery:
         

      •Keep away fingers and tongue from surgical areas
      •Use ice pack on surgical areas for first 48 hours
      •For mild discomfort  take Ibuprofen every three to four hours.

      •Drink  maximum of fluids
      • After  surgery, when you feel the muscle becomes thick, Use chewing gum .It is better for relaxation of          muscles
      •After 3 days , Apply warm heat  to the side of the face .It also helps to relax  the muscles.
      •For diet, We can use soft  foods that is to be chewed and  swallowed easily.
      •A certain  amount of  bleeding is expected  following surgery. It is controlled  by applying pressure  for          90 minutes over surgical area. 
      •If the bleeding occurs inside the mouth then it should be treated by applying moist  tea bag ,whether it is        firmly for one hour straight. If the bleeding still persists call our office.
       •After surgery, Do not smoke for  at least  five days.
